Why am I a great MBA Candidate?
I am a great MBA candidate because I am a hard worker, and I am dedicated to getting a higher education. I just recently graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Business Management and Organizational Development in August of 2014. That was a rewarding accomplishment for me. I am ready to better myself and go back to school to make a better life for myself and my son. I am a single mother with a sixteen year old son, and I want to set an example for my son by going back to school to earn my Master's degree. I didn’t want him to grow up thinking that just because I was divorced from his father that I couldn’t be a successful mother. I want him to know that no matter how old you are and what your circumstances are, that you can be successful, go back to school and follow your dreams. My strengths are honesty, caring, dependability, multitasking, communicating, team work, listening, organizing and planning. My organizational skills are pretty good. I like for things to be organized and in order. I like to complete tasks in a timely manner whether at home or at work. I am always thinking ahead on what needs to be done. I give all the praise to Jesus for transforming me into a successful woman that is not afraid to face her fears. Fear is simply believing in something that is not real.
My goals at this point in my life are to complete the graduate program and to get a better job with benefits. I currently work for At Home Healthcare as a filed supervisor. I love my job but there are no benefits and no room to advance in my position. Once I earn my MBA I would like to advance to a job that will provide good benefits. I would like to be in management for a healthcare company. My current job has taught me a lot of skills that I need for this program, such as discipline, organization skills and communication.
