Apply Themes of Authenticity, Virtue, and Discernment to Living a Personally Significant Life
To be Authentic means being actually and exactly what is claimed. Authentic implies being fully trustworthy as according with fact; it can also stress painstaking or faithful imitation of an original. To me to be an authentic person means a variety of things. You’re not into materialistic things, everyone likes nice things but it should be something that depicts your image as a person. You know that life experiences are what create more meaning and are open to exploring and learning. An authentic person is able to listen to others with a genuine interest and care for the other person. They only say things that they truly mean they are genuine, not fake. They don’t do things that they don’t really want to do. They are able to share their own unique thoughts, feelings and views without fear of other’s opinions. They don’t try to please people but they see value in loving others. They allow and encourage others to express their own experiences with love and acceptance. They see themselves as a person of value who deserves love, kindness and support. They don’t only think about their emotional self but also their physical self, they take care of their bodies. You are aware that they have faults and don’t judge others for theirs. …show more content…

Virtuous actions consist of abandoning the ten negative actions and, on the other hand, of practicing their opposite.
1. By avoiding killing and harming the others, and by protecting the life of other beings we will gain a long life and a good
