Archetypes In Education
Leadership is a quality many humans strive to have but few reach the goal. The understanding of leadership is based on how you portray yourself, and how you take into the consideration of other’s ideas. This may involve rejecting the ideas of others to better the group, but sometimes the power may go to one’s head. This may result in hurting the group, than better it as a whole. Archetypes are a way for people to categorize themselves based on their mannerisms, and charisma. There are twelve different options to educate yourself on. After hopelessness came upon me in class, the last archetype we discussed was the Ruler, which matched my personality. I possess the qualities of being confident, and I’m all about being fair, but sometimes I becoming controlling and entitled. Through high school I have portrayed my confidence by …show more content…
Being a well rounded student, with superb grades I feel as though I deserve more than the students who slack off and passby. This view can result into controversial discussion, with students who diminish their capabilities. When my older siblings go to do something I feel as though it is my privilege to join along, even if I am not capable of doing the same things. By having my own car I feel entitled to do whatever I choose. Having the freedom, and your parents full trust you feel obligated to do whatever you want too. Being entitled is unpleasant in many situations, but there are a few were being entitled may benefit you, and others around you. Being a leader is an influential role to have. You will agitate many, but you will empower many more. You need to have focus, and stand your ground, while listening and comforting others. Being a ruler takes confidence, and fairness into account, but may stray away when the focus turns to control and entitlement. A dictionary definition of a leader is a guiding hand in a movement or group. My definition of a leader is someone who stands out amongst the rest and steps up to the task and helps the “followers” advance and strive to become a leader as well. The only way a leader can be effective is by leading by example. A prime example of this is Malala Yousafzai. She was shot in the face for trying to go to school. If she hadn’t gone to school she wouldn’t have been shot, but she also wouldn’t have a Nobel Peace prize. She is now using her story to speak for access to education for everyone. A leader is someone who leads by example and uses their skills to help others succeed.…

I am a leader. I have all the qualities that make a great leader, but I was not born this way.Experiences and how someone reacts to those experiences are what truly make a leader. One of the most influential experiences I have gone through is called the Lebanon High School Marching Band. I am certain that I wouldn’t be who I am today if it weren’t for marching band. Before coming to high school I already had leadership qualities, but band helped bring all those great qualities together and helped me get past my two major flaws: my lack of self-confidence and the fact that I was probably one of the shyest people you would EVER meet. When I joined marching band, I spent most of my waking hours sweating and suffering alongside wonderful people that I longed to…

To me, leadership is leading by example. My years in high school have shown me that the person who builds people up, and shows kindness is more of a leader than someone who commands and controls people. I strive to be this kind, caring person who others can look up to. As I grow older, I hope that by doing the right things, I can inspire others to do the same.…

Being a leader is more that motivating others to strive harder and accomplish goals. It’s more about gathering everyone with different skills, religion, ethnicity, etc. and making them one. Why do people associate death and the color black? Why do people consider a woman as a man’s subordinate? Why is it that literature from thousands of years ago has similar plot structures and themes of modern literature? These recurring ideologies are not pure coincidences; they have symbolic meaning and have been traced to the depths of unconsciousness, having been recently categorized into archetypes. Archetypes are a development of psychologist, Carl Jung, referring to a pattern of character types, images, descriptive details, and situations that find their way from our minds, to our literature, and to our lives. This idea of predisposed mental associations is evidenced through literature from various cultures and times. Even literature as diverse as The Epic of Gilgamesh, Genesis’ Creation and Fall, and Beauty and the Beast share similar significance within the situational archetype of “The Fall.” These three works have been developed from different cultural perspectives and timeframes, but yield a comparable plot pattern, in which the hero falls to a lower level from a relative heaven because of a transgression. The presence of this archetype furthers the effectiveness of the pieces.…

I believe that leadership is important because you always need someone to step up and lead others down the right path. Leaders help others to succeed and be the best version of themselves. Without leaders, children would not have role models to look up to and would not know right from wrong. I try to be a leader by being kind to everyone and by making good decisions. I always try to lift people up when they are down and encourage them to never give up. I was also recently nominated to take a leadership class through Southeastern Community College. So far, this class has taught me a lot about being a leader, and I plan to learn much more throughout the coming year.…

A leader is a person who represents the whole class and motivate them. I did not believe I was a leader. During my freshman and sophomore year of high school, I was a quiet spoken individual who listens to what others have to say. It was not that I did not have anything to say, but it was the fear of saying something wrong and others disregarding what I had to say. I did several presentations in high school that made speaking in front of people more easier. However, I was still the timid person who wanted desperately to break my shell but did not know how. A shocking moment had occurred when I had became secretary of Zonta Club. It was junior year and I was surprised to have been part of the leadership team. I was able to discuss my ideas and to speak with the members at ease. It was my breaking point. I was given a privilege to be part of something that made a change. I was not just the soft spoken person, but I was a leader…

The dictionary defines a leader as someone who leads. This definition in not helpful for anyone wanting to become a leader themselves because a leader is so much more than someone who leads. A leader has great virtues that allow them to obtain the trust of others. Through leadership experiences, one will learn the qualities needed to be a leader. I have gained leadership experiences through hockey, work and student government. These experiences taught me to be calm, passionate, and gain the respect of others. I have learned how to express these traits through integrity and the desire of becoming a better leader.…

Part of leadership is the ability to make a difference under difficult circumstances. But, what is a leader? A leader is a person or thing that holds a dominant or superior position within its field, and is able to exercise a high degree of control or influence over others. I portray the qualities that a leader has: persistance, determination, confidence, and passion. This past summer my gymnastics career went to the next level; I was offered a job at the gymnasium.…

In my opinion, leadership is more than just someone who can enlist the aid of others to accomplish a specific task. It is a characteristic and a lifestyle of a person. True leadership is not displayed on days we feel like it. It is a constant display of ones actions to accomplish tasks and set an example for others to emulate. A leader is someone who can be turned to in the absence of knowledge or direction and will either have the answer or know where to get the answer.…

To save the innocent from the villain, the hero enlists help from the sage. In some way, a person from reality falls into one of these categories because of their beliefs or character. These categories are called archetypes, and mean “pattern, model, or type(Golden).” According to psychologist Carl Gustav Jung, there are twelve archetypes, sorted into three categories: Ego, Soul, and Self. Some people follow multiple, although there is mainly one archetype for each individual being. I think about problems mentally and thoroughly first. I utilize information as a way to find answers, making me a sage. However, as a curious teenager, i desire answers; answers of philosophy, life, or the universe. For every question, there is an answer. I am on…

There are many types of leaders in the world, but the type of leader that I want to be is a type of monarchic leader. This is because I want to solve problems efficiently. For instance, if a group of people are the leaders they would discuss and argue about the problems, but this method is to slow which never really solves the problem when it needs to be solve. However, if it was a single person that was the leader the problem would be solved quickly and efficiently. I do wish to be a more of a singular leader but that does not mean I will be like a dictator over my group I still plan to listen to opinions of other group members. For example, if there was a problem in the community I might take a type of poll to see the opinions of the people and make a decision from what I heard for the betterment of the community. I still want to listen to others, but the decision would ultimately be mine. Also as a single leader I don’t want to force people to listen to me. I want to be charismatic leader so that they want to follow and believe in me. Overall, I would prefer to be a singular type of leader. I would be able to solve problems efficiently on my own, but still listen and lead the people in a way where they feel heard a listened to.…
