Maybe he did so because he didn't want them to have the benefits the rings provided them considering they destroyed them afterwards and also because it weakened Klaus. I'm not sure how much they weakened Klaus but for him to be ranting about that it must've been a bit bad. Either way I do think he could've defended himself regardless. Klaus seemed like he was having an orgasming everytime they took the rings off haha! Although like you said they could've just killed their asses while the sun was still shining and did the same thing.

    Additionally, stereotyping a person with regard to their educational background can be profoundly consequential. In fact, even the most powerful men and women in the world have been victims of a stereotype at some point in their lives. Among these people is the former chairman of Microsoft, Bill Gates. Gates dropped out of college at the age of 20, two years after enrolling in it. The image that is painted in a person’s mind when he hears about college dropouts is influenced by a stereotype. The person then perceives college dropouts as tattooed, pant-sagging, chain-smoking, moronic students who are careless about their education, making a big mistake in their lives by choosing to drop out of college. This stereotype led to Gates being viewed as a failure by his society. Computer programming companies rejected Gates, who was nicknamed the “college reject” by his society. In spite of having his parents’ support, Gates was still a victim of this educational stereotype; it led him into doubting himself and what he was capable of. Nevertheless, Gates persevered in his field of interest. With a lot of hard work and the support of his parents, Gates was able to design an operating system for a computer that would change the world, lead him to success, and earn him the title “Harvard’s most successful dropout.” Moreover, the new operating system dominated the computing industry, which in turn, put all the computing companies out of business. People who assume the college dropout stereotype to be true fail to realize that the stereotype projects an illusion. In reality, college dropouts are not necessarily foolish individuals. According to an article in the New York Times magazine, written by Henry Levin and published on the 25th of January 2012, 30% of students in college dropout due to poor financial affairs.
