Nowadays more and more Americans are too independent on electronic devices especially they can't do without computers. This is a commonplace opinion as well as a problem in American society because it is hard to imagine a modern world without information technology that are widely used by Americans beginning with little children and ending with seniors. All this dependence undoubtedly has a negative impact not only on human health, and on other aspects of life because it became their daily life. First of all, it goes without saying that computers have an impact on social life. This is because computer is like a drug, a serious drug that can ruin almost everything. Most people who are dependent on computer don’t lead an active social life or do not have it at all. They consider their "machine" to be their all life. It is sad because they degrade by sitting at the computer all day and night refusing to live chat with family and friends. The virtual world is getting better and dearer to them than real life. People spend a lot of hours sitting online and chatting with friends and almost strange persons with whom they came across on the Internet. It would be great if they used computers only for learning and this issue wouldn’t so big. An awful truth is that Americans spend time playing games, gambling, viewing pornography and buying things online instead of meeting up with friends or even going for a walk. Research from the American Heart Association shows teens spend an average of 20 hours a week in front of a computer or TV. Many teens miss out on what's truly important. Downloading music and commenting on pictures is fun, but it's not necessary to do this on a daily basis. If people continue to live such a life, it would end terrible consequences which will need to be treated.
Secondly, steps should be taken in order to solve the problem of limitation of time for children at the computer.
