Are Mormons Polygamist?

Polygamy is the practice of having more then one spouse at a time. Supposedly, living a gratifying life all in the name of religion. These people are often called Mormons. However, I have found that polygamy in the modern day Mormon faith is rarely practiced anymore, and hasn’t been in over one hundred years. Now days, it is recognized as more of a Muslim tradition and practiced in African countries. So where did we get this preconceived notion that Mormons are polygamist? A man named Joseph Smith introduced it to his Mormon Church congregation in 1831. He preached that he received a revelation from God. In this revelation he stated the Lord told him to take virgins unto himself for the purpose of multiplying and replenishing the earth so they
may bear souls of men. He testified that an angel came to him with a sword many times and said he must practice polygamy or he would die. I don’t know who his God was or why he thought he was so special and holy that an angel of the lord would ask his to commit adultery.
But the fact is a few church officials liked the idea of having more then one spouse. In 1852 Joseph Smith and the church congregation publically announced at the Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah that plural marriages were a godly practice to be considered. So they took for themselves multiple wives. A lot of them being 14 to 17 year old girls and had numerous children with them. A few short years later, because we live America where majority rules the decision was made, July 1864 to prohibit the practice of polygamy. Making it a misdemeanor charge in 9 states under the morril anti-bigamy act. Latter in March 1882 came the Edmund act, reinforcing the morrill act making it a felony on all us territory where the government has exclusive jurisdiction. Most of the marriages that had taken place ended in divorce or were annulled. However some families stayed together and continued to live in secrecy. Today there are said to be as many as 50,000 polygamist communities dotted across the American west. Most of them are fundamentalist Mormons practicing in secret societies, rebelling against the church and the
government. These people claiming they live in America but aren’t really free. I beg to differ. They are free in my opinion. They are free to go to the local welfare office and collect a public assistance check to support the institutionalized baby factory’s they themselves are building within these immoral societies.
Not to mention the fact they are still free to gather in there places of worship and engage in illegal underage marriage to young ladies who’s parents are participating in a so called religion that encourages child rape. These people are asking for a law to be passed making polygamy legal in America. They are coming out to vote, and be counted like a moron assembly line not even realizing the detrimental damage they are doing to society in general. If the law passes in 10 years the spread of STDS will be astronomical, even more so then it all ready is from this sexually perversion. The most shocking fact I’ve come across is the male children upon reaching maturity are all too often dropped off or dumped in unfamiliar places, because the father of the house fears a little competition. What more do these sexually perverted, religious occultist think they are worthy of then jail time? I asked. They think they should have the right to inter marry with there own family. As if polygamy isn’t enough lets just add incest to the list of odousity these inert people
have. The most offensive thing in my opinion about these people is there inability to value love, seemingly enough they play it off as nothing more then an over active sexual dysfunction. They are obviously lacking any moral speculation as to what a marriage is. I have read many stories and blogs about polygamy and the evil that has been unjustly covered up is disheartening. When standing at the altar on there wedding day the word said to each other usually conclude, to love, honor, cherish and adore. This must have been nothing but mere hot air expelled from the mouth of liars, cheaters and rapist. I believe the only angles who ever visited James Smith were the 8 little girls whom he took advantage of, and consequently they were too young to rebel at that era in time.
