Should U.S.A end military operations overseas? I believe they should not end overseas operations. Overseas operation play an important role regarding the safety of American citizens. The United States have different kinds of military branches, which three I’m discussing in my paragraph, to ensure the safety, not only for U.S citizens but for overseas safety as well. The three branches I would like to discuss, and the roles they play in operations overseas are the Army, Navy, and Air force.
The United States army play a great role in overseas operation. There are many countries with army bases. Germany, South Korea, Italy and Iran just to name a few. The Army base in Germany is for long term stability, reconstruction and eventually reunification after world war2. South Korea military base maintain peace and stability in religion. Over all the military bases roles are to protect and help those in need. Secondly, The United States Navy also play a great deal in operations overseas. The navy provide sea patrol. If there are any invasion by sea, the navy is already station. Contrast to the Army bases, the navy have stations overseas. The Navy have stations ranging from Arabian Gulf, Indian sea, and Eastern Mediterranean. The navy is a great defense by air protecting us from overseas predators. Lastly, The United States Air Force have a role in operations overseas. Unlike the Navy and Army branches, having stations or bases, the Air Force provide air support to ground troops and aid in recovering troops. The Air Force also play a big deal in U.S protection, to preserve peace, security and defense. The Air Force deals with a lot of responsibilities and duties. If any country overseas tried to release any nuclear weapons the Air Force will come to our defense.     1. In President Obama’s speech at West Point, he announced that 30,000 additional troops would be sent to Afghanistan. He made this decision because he said it was vital to the United States’ national interest. It states that the military should help protect and secure our vital interests abroad. U.S. security is linked with the security of the international community. The physical integrity of our country is protected by the military through multiple security controls. One of these security controls is through deployments of the armed forces. The Quadrennial Defense Review states the mission of the U.S. military is to protect the American people and advance our nation’s interests. The vital interests of the United States are intertwined with the integrity and resilience of allies abroad. Our vital interests are security, prosperity, broad respect for universal values and an international order that promotes cooperation among our allies. The President’s vision is to become more powerful domestically while bringing together all elements of national power. We need to help our neighbors…

    A major debate that is being discussed both domestically and internationally is the involvement of the United States of America in international affairs. This debate includes the practicality of where the United States has intervened in foreign affairs, its right to intervene in the first place considering past mistakes and questionable leadership, and whether or not that foreign involvement is in the general public’s best interest. Obviously, the two sides of the debate refer to the ‘yes’ position, explained by Ivan Eland (as in yes, the United States should limit it’s global involvement) and also the ‘no’ position, backed by President Barack Obama (as in no, the United States should not limit it’s foreign involvement). Eland’s basis for his argument is that the United States has habitually overspent it’s treasure and overextended it’s military power to a point where we cannot keep pace economically and which could bring upon the demise of the American government as we know it. He also points out that continued foreign endeavors increases the risk of the United States being a target for terrorist attack. Obama’s vision is that The United States of America needs to re-establish its place as a world leader by maintaining an active foreign policy. Obama admits that mistakes have been made where international affairs are concerned, but that is a reason to fix those mistakes and step up as a suitable leader once more. Discussed later in the paper is my own point of view, which supports President Barack Obama and his plan for active engagement in foreign affairs, in a conservative and confidant manner.…
