Although guns are good in some uses and protection, I think that guns should not be allowed because More than 500 children die annually from accidental gunshots. Some shoot themselves, while others kill friends or siblings after discovering a gun. Here are more scary stats: Americans own 200 million firearms, and 35 percent of homes contain at least one gun. Last year, a study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found more than 1.7 million children live in homes with loaded and unlocked guns. A recent study published in the Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine found 39 percent of kids…

Gun control can be looked at from many different viewpoints from many different people. Some people believe that all crime will be stopped while others think it will only increase. Guns should not be banned in the U.S because banning them will not make the killers stop, good people need to help, and making guns illegal will just lead to people disobeying the law.…

Because of the climate change, the earth is in danger. People don’t realize that the things they use or do every day are hurting the earth and living things. Nature.org says, “…one-fourth of Earth’s species will be headed for extinction by 2050 if the warming trend continues at its current rate…” Because the temperature is increasing, ice is melting. Because ice is melting, sea levels are rising. Higher temperatures don’t only melt ice but evaporates the moisture in the air. Evaporation will take away all of the land’s water leaving it as dry as a desert. With a drought now in progress, it will make it harder to find water and support agriculture.…

I do not agree that the U.S. should have gun control laws. The Second Amendment that is in our national Constitution titles that, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” This right has been amended in our Constitution since 1791, and still there have been forms of gun control ever since. The National Rifle Association (NRA) is a supporter of the Second Amendment and also an adversary of those who propose limitations on guns. Over the years there have been many U.S. presidents that were members of the NRA, for example, Raegan, Bush, Nixon, also Eisenhower and Kennedy. One question you may ask is, why do citizens have a necessity to own a handgun? One reason is tradition. For as long as this country has been established, gun owners have been around, for self-defense and to hunt for wild game that will later be food. Buying, possessing, or carrying a gun doesn’t hurt anyone. Up until a person compels a crime, he/she is free to choose what he/she wants to do.…

Gun control in the United States has become a highly controversial topic over the years. There have been plenty of debates on the gun control laws and people have taken to being either pro gun control laws or anti gun control laws. One thing we can’t deny would be that gun control laws would keep us all safer and even save lives. Statistic show that more guns equals to more homicide cases. If more citizens have easy access to guns, they’re more likely to kill than if they didn’t have easy access to the guns. Public places like schools, restaurants, and churches are not acceptable places for people to be carrying guns; it puts the public in danger. It should be illegal.…

Gun control is a very large problem going on in the United States today. All guns have the potential to be dangerous and should be used with precautions, as well as the right safety regulations. Guns can be hazardous and tragic accidents can happen, like the Sandy Hook shooting in Connecticut, but only if they are in the hands of the wrong person. Guns are not only used every day for protection, such as law enforcement like the military and the police, but guns are also used for recreational activities such as hunting. The second amendment states that we have the right to bear arms, which also means we have the right to own a gun to protect ourselves and our families not only from criminals, but also from the government. So therefore the prohibition of guns or stricter laws on gun control is unconstitutional and not morally correct. I believe gun control in the United States should not necessarily be eliminated, but reduced greatly.…

<br>After the many shootings in schools over the past two years, many people believe guns should be made illegal for civillians to posses or purchase guns. While this may make it difficult for minors, drug addicts, and people with mental deficiencies to get hold on a gun, The Constitution allows all citizens to possess arms to defend themselves, their families', and their property. However if guns were made illegal, there would still be people who would smuggel guns. If a burgular were to smuggle a gun in to someone's home, that man or woman should be allowed to posses a gun to defend theirself.…

Are you tired of not being able to go to the store and fear that maybe just one day something terrible might happen? I believe that we should not have the right to own guns. The only way to guarantee safety is to knock firearms out of our population as much as possible.…

I believe that guns should not be banned in the US. “Guns don’t kill people, people kill people.” I am sure most of us have heard this saying at some point in our lives. Surely, it is a statement of the obvious, but the logic behind it rings true. It may seem rational to ban guns entirely to prevent people from killing, but it is not the guns themselves that are the problem. That is just a simple solution to a complex problem. The criminals who kill others are willing to break the law and risk going to prison for the rest of their lives to murder, yet they are expected to follow firearm laws? If a nationwide gun ban is enacted, criminals will not suddenly follow the law and reject the thought of buying a firearm on the black market. Banning all guns in the United States would be irrational because it would not lower crime or prevent firearm-related murders.…

Banning guns would reduce the number of gun related deaths, a lot of the people would not listen but it would defiantly lower the number of gun related activity. Guns were made to kill they are one of most dangerous weapons out there, of course it should be illegal to have one. It may not decrease violent crime but it would decrease gun crime and that could save lives of many people.…
