(Deer Hunting can be a good thing)
Hunting has always been around, even as early as the Prehistoric Era. Men in these times had to hunt to provide food and warmth for their families. Throughout the years hunting has become looked upon negatively by many people in society. In all aspects; for example animal cruelty and gun control. Along with the many people who do not agree with hunting, there is also a great amount of people who think it is a good thing. In my opinion the three main reasons hunting can be looked at positively are it keeps the deer population down, can provide food for a family, and can be known as a sport to many people.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration there are approximately 1.5 million deer related car accidents each year. Deer populations are already at an all time high, and the higher the population, the higher the deer related accident rate. This is where deer hunting comes into play, and can be a positive solution. Each hunter has a limited amount of tags they can fill, keeping hunting at a controlled limit. It helps keep the hunting humane but at the same time keeps the population of deer down. In the end it is a positive outcome for everyone.
Another positive outlook at hunting can also be the fact that hunting can be a source of food for a low income family. For low income families, hunting can be a cheaper way of providing food for their family. All they are required to do is buy tags and ammunition, doing this will guarantee them deer meat all year long. In turn this helps them to save money for other crucial things they may need. Deer meat is also known to be leaner/healthier than any other meat you will buy from the store. I believe hunting can only benefit these families in many ways.
In today’s day in age hunting isn’t just something you do, for many people it’s a way of life. Hunting goes way beyond the boundaries of just deer hunting

Personally, I think that the morality of hunting depends on the situation. If the hunter is strictly doing his job of providing food for his family and community, then that is fine. However, if they are doing it for the thrill and for pleasure and they aren't even going to eat what they kill, then these people need to take a moment to step back and realize that what they are doing is in no way right and they are the people giving genuine hunters a poor…

One way to improve population is to start raising deer on farms and then taking them out and turning them lose in the wild. When hunting comes close to being taken away the price of hunting license will go up. After the price of deer hunting license goes up, hunting privileges will be taken away for a year or two in order to let the population of animals rise again. This would stop the Kentucky Fish and Wildlife from having to take hunting rights away and would help to raise the population of deer back up all at the same…

An environment that is considered to be “good” would be one that involves situations of activities that maintain wildlife at current levels. Which means hunting is positive for the environment because the hunting community helps ensure that the wildlife populations of all the different types of game is kept in good conditions and can be proven to survive from this generation to the next (Gibbons 1). This means that hunters have to keep a variety of natural habitats to be kept intact, unpolluted, and undisturbed by unnatural forces. All of which hunters support these efforts (Gibbons 1). Many animals endure prolonged, painful deaths when they are injured but not killed by hunters. What the author fails to consider is that most people that hunt are not hunting to just kill most are trying to feed there family or put meat in there fridge. According to peta the delicate balance of ecosystems ensures their survival if they are left unaltered. Natural predators help maintain this balance by killing only the sickest and weakest individuals. Hunters, however, kill any animal whose head they would like to hang over the fireplace including large, healthy animals who are needed to keep the population strong. Although this may be true the ecosystem is going to kill off populations a lot slower than kill animals such as deer are self, killing isn't bad if you using the deer for good causes. On private lands that are set up as for-profit hunting reserves or game ranches, hunters can pay to kill native and exotic species in “canned hunts.” This is true, but people that go out and hunt in canned hunts usually after they kill a deer they give the meat to share your harvest and help families in need.…

Some reasons several people believe that sport hunting is okay and necessary is because they think it reduces population and teaches people how to survive in the wilderness. It is fair to have this opinion, since if you are on a plane that crashes, or get lost in the woods on a trip, you would have the skills to hunt. Also, since human population is constantly increasing, getting rid of a few animals will guarantee humans have more space to expand, and will prevent animals from taking over.…

Not only is hunting an exhilarating experience but so is the feeling of being surrounded by wilderness. During winter times since I was 12 years old, my father would take me out on long drives in the middle of winter to hunting sites just outside of Edmonton. What made the drive not seem so long was the scenic route we would always take. Every once in a while I would see little white rabbits hopping around and leaving miniature footprints all in the snow next to the road. Further down the road we would pass a fairly big hill that had two pine trees at the top of it. I always wondered how long they had been there considering the fact that they were over thirty feet high. Finally we would get to the hunting ground and make are way down to a little patch of brush where we would crouch and wait for the deer to pass by. The feeling of the cold snow crunching under my boots, the frost covered branches of the bush we were nestled under, and all the little footprints that surrounded us gave me a feeling of unity with nature. After hiding in our spots for a long while, usually until my feet and toes were completely frozen it seemed, my father would whisper “Here comes one right now”. A few moments later I’d hear a loud bang and we’d be back on the road with our trophy and bragging rights. We have carried on this tradition every…
