Let’s take the Liberal side first and let us examine how they view gun control. First of all the liberals believe that the 2nd amendment doesn’t give citizens the right to bear arms; rather it gives the state the ability to keep a militia or in common terms a national guard. I believe that guns don’t kill people, people kill people. Although I do believe that the many school shootings and massacres that occur are terrible; they could’ve all been prevented with proper procedures when storing and handles weapons. Many of the people that go on this killing sprees don’t own the actual weapon used often times they belong to people they know.
However taking weapons away from gun owners because of a few negligent owners wouldn’t solve any of the gun violence problems. I don’t believe in adding more gun laws and restrictions would help either but maybe more education for gun owners would help the few that maybe shouldn’t own weapons. I’m perfectly fine with the background check even though it’s a bit inconvenient at times if you have nothing to hide it shouldn’t be a problem.
The liberal views on gun control I feel are dangerous and could result in protest and possibly even riots. They are has to be a middle ground that would satisfy both the liberals and conservatives. However putting restrictions and laws in place is radical thinking on the liberal’s end, so to reach a common goal of less gun violence their needs to be serious talks between both sides to reach that goal. Furthermore the liberals need to stop blaming the guns themselves for the actual violence and need to realize that the guns are useless without a
