There are 60,000 internally displaced persons in proximity to Jordan's northeastern border. This camp lacks food, water, and medical attention. On May 16th MSF started a mobile clinic to serve the needs of the camp. Sadly, the program was forced to disband following a terror attack that killed seven Jordanian soldiers and injured many others (“Syria: MSF calls for resumption of aid and protection for Syrian refugees stuck in the desert on the Jordanian border,” 2016). This work is necessary because there are few organizations with the technical skills and ability to serve in these dangerous conflict zones. The work done by Doctors Without Borders is essential when dealing with groups of people who need medical care and advocacy.
