“When I came to power,I did not want the concentration camps to become old age prisoner homes, but instruments of torture.” Adolf Hitler Japanese bombed the pearl harbor so they relocated the american japanese away from the border. Nazi took jews and put them into concentration camps so they could be tortured and killed because hitler thought that they were a threat to the economy.Jewish and Japenese people were put into a camp because of the way they are or what they believed in. Japanese internment camps and Jewish concentration camps are not the same because Japanese were only relocated,Jews were killed, and Japanese were provided with food and homes for them and their family.
Japanese were only relocated.”Over one hundred thousand persons of japanese ancestry were removed from their homes.” Some people say that it was wrong for americans to relocate the japanese but really it wasn't. Moving the Japanese americans away from the border was for our own safety. The bombing of pearl harbor was a sad and tragic. We americans need to try to keep and country safe. “Detained in special camps.” the japanese were put into a camp where they would be held until the nasty situation was over the Jews were held in a place where they were killed. The main thing is that japanese americans were only relocated and …show more content…
not harmed.
Jewish were killed in the concentration camps.”Hitler had no issues with the hardness of these institution.” With all the awful things Adolf Hitler did with the Jews for example he told them that they were going to get a shower but really they were just going to get gassed so they could die and get burned. In the instution camps this stuff never happened the worst that happned to them is that they were relocated and they had to farm. In the concentration camps you were forced to labor and the nazis separated your family and if you were twins you were taken together to do weird experiments so they could try to make the perfect race. Then if you were choosen you would be killed and burned and if you were picked to stay alive you would be shoved into a small space with a bunch of strangers.”I shall not permit myself to be robbed of it simply because a lot of stupid, bourgeois mollycoddlers choose to be offended by it.” Adolf Hitler. This quote shows how he has no feelings whatsoever to someone with a different religion. People could say that americans did the same things to the japanese but I highly doubt because we had a reason to do it and that reason we to protect america and Hitlers reason was that he was jealous that the Jews had more money.
Japanese were treated with respect and were given a house. “Detained to special camps.” The japanese americans were given respect because they were escorted to a safe location where they were put into a homes for them and their families. Yes they had to share houses with other families but at least they were put somewhere where they could be protected. The area they were put in was pretty decent because it was like one big neighborhood. There was a giant wall with barbed wire on it but that was for the people that tried tried to escape. Another way they were treated with respect is that they were given food to survive yes they did have to plant it but at least the food was fresh and safe to eat.Jews if given the chance to eat it was probably some dirty wrapper off the ground with bugs all over it.
How Jewish concentration camps were similar to Japanese internment camps.”Served a dual purpose to controlling the majority of the population.” Both camps were used to put a certain type of people into a new place do to there religion or skin color. Each camp had torture in there own way because even though they were different they both damaged the people in a different way like emotionally or physically. They were both were national mistakes. The camps were both a terrible situation in the past which we will never forget because it shows the mistakes that we Americans and Germans did and how that even though most people are different from each other it doesn't mean that they are the enemy. Japanese internment camps and Jewish concentration camps are not the same because Japanese were only relocated,Jewish were killed, and Japanese were provided with food and homes for them and their family.
Final thought on this is still the same even though there are many ways people could look at these two situations there is still something about it that shows how they are very different from each other so what is that in this perspective the two situations are very different from another. As Adolf Hitler once stated “When I came to power,I did not want the concentration camps to become old age prisoner homes, but instruments of
torture.”
