STOP! HELP! HELP! A young girl needs help she’s hurt she needs your help, she’s dying. What would you do keep walking or stop and help her? Be a bystander or be the person who steps up in front of a crowd to help save a life. Have you heard about Kitty Genovese? In 1964 Kitty Genovese was a 28 women, who was walking towards her apartment from work on a trepidation night. Genovese spot an unusual man going the exact same way she was. She got terrified and took a different route towards her apartment. A police box was the first thing Kitty went towards, she tried to dial. Therefore, it was too late the man grabbed her and stabbed her. She screamed. Lights turned on. Neighbors looked out, no one said or did anything. ¨Oh my god, he stabbed me!

This time Kitty announced ¨I'm dying!¨ Once more, windows slid open. No one said anything or did anything. Windows slammed shut. But, this time the attacker went inside a car and drove away (Dorman). It was pitch silence around Kitty. She would hear herself sob and repeatedly ask for help. Wishing someone would help her. No one said a world or even bother doing anything. Kitty was able to crawl inside an apartment. Before she can even go inside the attacker came back and stabbed her again. This time he killed her. As they investigated the case, detectives claimed that about 38 neighbors woke up and watched the whole thing or even saw part of it. Investigators wonder why no body stood up for the young women she seemed to be well-known by people in the neighborhood but no one stepped up for her.
