Seaworld, to this day, has a whale who has been brutally taken from his home, put in two different new homes, and in result to this situation he has killed three people. Despite his clearly shown aggressive traits, he has been used as a breeding machine for seaworld's past years, making 54% of the orcas at seaworld share his genes. This is why there has been a big debate since 1970 on whether or not these parks and entertainment should be allowed. These parks are making the animals sick and hurting them; Not only that, but they are teaching the people unrealistic expectations about the relationships between humans and animals. These animals lives are being shortened in captivity. With the facts, it is clear that this system is clearly wrong and brutally harmful.

Marine parks put on shows showing people dolphins who can hug their trainers and whales who can be trained to kiss a trainer. This is teaching people unrealistic expectations about the animals and humans relationships. This leads to incidents like the selfie taking tourists that passed around a baby dolphin like a toy for photos, and ended up killing the helpless creature in the progress. People will not understand how dangerous these creatures are because the only time they’ve seen them is when a performer is forcing the animal to participate in the show as the animal needs
food. Dolphins have an average life span of fourty to fifty years, sometimes even living up to ninety years. But those at seaworld rarely even survive more than ten years. Eighty percent of captive dolphins whose ages could be determined died before the age of twenty. Not only are the animal's lives in danger, but there have been more than four hundred injuries to humans by whales, and three human deaths from one whale, who they still use today in shows. These animals do not have a voice humans can understand, and they are being let them be tortured for your entertainment of a one hour show? This is why these shows are ending, and sea world is ending whale shows and breeding. It is wrong and the animals voices are truly silenced. The only claims that the people who support this have is that seaworld rescues these animals. If you are rescuing these animals, how about you stop abusing the ones you have? The opposing side thinks the animals are needed for education. Truly learning from these animals would have to be watching them in the wild, not getting hurt and having horrible side effects in captivity. This is why Aquatic Animals should not be kept in Captivity for Entertainment.
