Because teenagers are less mature, it is not uncommon to think that they will make rash decisions, and that is a true statement for most, if not all of them. Reckless actions may include speeding, tailgating, and passing inappropriately. All of these actions can most definitely lead to a crash. In fact. sixteen-year old drivers are three times more likely to get in a car crash than eighteen and nineteen-year olds. Although wearing seatbelts is not a reason for crashing, it is definitely a key factor in survival rate of the crash. Teenagers are less likely to be wearing seatbelts because they are immature and clearly exhibit irrational thoughts. Simply wearing a seatbelt can save a person's life, and not wearing one is quite common among teenagers. Just getting into an accident will be problematic as the insurance cost will definitely rack up and prove to be a nuisance. A good idea is also to check the safety record of a specific car to buy, as insurance companies will often lower the cost of insurance if the vehicle has a better safety record in comparison to others.
