Argumentative Essay On Vaccinating Children

I believe children should be vaccinated because vaccinations helps prevent diseases and they are one of the greatest health developments of our time. Some people don’t believe in vaccinating their children because they think that vaccines cause health problems and can cause autism in a young child. Some states offer a religious exemption from having to vaccinate your children. The CDC recommends getting 29 doses of 9 vaccines for children in the US, but there is no Federal law mandating parents to vaccinate their children. Some public schools do require children to have certain vaccinations before enrolling in school.
Some “anti vaccinationist” think that vaccines don't work and they just weaken the immune system and cause neurological injury.
They believe that vaccines cause autism in young children. Autism can develop with a combination of genetic and environmental influences, and some genes associated with autism are found in people who are not autistic. Vaccines causing autism has not been proven because there are many factors that go into the development of the disorder. Illnesses such as smallpox and polio are prevented by vaccines. Although no child is born with these illnesses, the likelihood for unvaccinated children to contract them is higher than children that have been vaccinated.
