Everything was taken from Syed over evidence that doesn’t even connect him to the murder. According to Sarah Koenig, “But, he says he wishes some of her arguments had been clearer” To further explain, Adnan’s life was in the hands of his lawyer, Miss Gutierrez. If her statements were more clear, the case would've ended differently. She should've pointed out the flaws in the case, such as, false information and evidence. If all of the flaws were pointed out, the judge and the jury would of more than likely change how they felt or waited until there was enough evidence that actually proves it was Adnan. Not only was there false information, but, the lawyer’s were lying and trying to pressure those who testified to lie too. According to Sarah Koenig, “when I testified, they pulled me in a back room and let me tell you how fun that was, to have the prosecutor afterwards yelling at me because I did not make Adnan sound creepy,” Furthermore, the lawyers were lying just to win their case.
