Argumentative Essay: Suicide Is Not An Option
Suicide is Not an Option
In most cases, committing suicides the choice of lunatic, short-sighted people that don’t have the means or courage to solve their own problems. People commit suicide when they face a problem they consider unsolvable, but such a problem does not exist. All problems have a solution, therefore no one should commit suicide. “Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death overall; third among 15- to 24-year-olds and fourth among 25- to 44-year-olds.” Some of the main causes of suicide are bullying, cyberbullying, financial difficulties, and the death of close ones.
The death of a close one can be shocking, mentally impairing, and in many cases may lead to suicide. It may be true that it is difficult to cope with a problem

People used my name on the internet for malicious purposes, but that didn’t affect me. There were also those who attempted to mock my beliefs on the internet, but they failed to cause a change in my disposition. . All these encounters on the internet did not have a negative effect on me. Rather I found it absurd to be sad about something as trivial as this.
Before I looked up the definition of cyberbullying, I never considered myself cyberbullied. I always thought cyberbullying was something I never experienced. I lived my life according to the adage, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words may never hurt me.” Speaking from my experience, I find it preposterous to kill yourself over a matter as pathetic as this one.
Suicide is not limited to poor, distressed, and bullied people. Some of the most famous celebrities commit suicide. A great example is the suicide of Robin Williams. Some say Robin Williams experienced depression and as a result he killed himself. I honestly don’t see why he would get depressed. He was a popular actor and comedian, he lived a life many wished for, and yet that did not prevent him from killing himself. It can be really shocking when a celebrity commits suicide. I am astonished that they were not satisfied with their life even though they receive money and fame for doing what they

When discussing the topic of assistant suicide and a patients "right to die", my viewpoint toward this is that the process should be legalized all over the country. The reason for this is because if a patient does not want to continue to suffer, they should be given the opportunity to be able to end their own life. If the doctor knows that their health issue can improve, and the patient continues to thinks they would feel better if they just ended their life, assistant suicide should be permitted. At the end of the day, the individual who is going through this should have the final say of what happens to their life since it is theirs. Life could have so much meaning but if a doctor cannot convince them there is not a point in trying. If someone…

Suicide is the intentional termination of one's own life with the objective being to cease living. For the purposes of this essay, self-sacrifice, or suicide for the sake of others, will not be considered a form of suicide as in that situation the individual does not possess the desire to die, they are instead putting the lives of others above their own. The standard position on suicide holds that all suicides are immoral and irrational except for in cases of terminal illness. This position on suicide is too restrictive and dismisses the suffering others experiences in instances beyond terminal illness. There are extreme situations in which most would agree that suicide is an acceptable choice. For example, someone trapped in a fire or subjected…

I personally am torn on the issue of whether people should have to ask permission to commit suicide or not, I really see both sides of the argument. One part of me really feels that people should have the right to do what they want with their bodies, without having to ask permission from others. The other half of me thinks that in a lot of cases that suicide is not the answer, and with help and treatment those people could really seriously be healed from these thoughts that suicide is the only way out of their issues and problems. There are lots of programs that offer crisis intervention which our book defines as, “Thus the program offers crisis intervention: they try to help suicidal people see their situations more accurately, make better…

Bullying is a form of abuse that is displayed toward the victim which forms an unhealthy relationship. This relationship consists of the bully having continual control of the victim’s life for an extended period of time. It gives the bully a sense of empowerment that they continue to feed off of. This is much different from school aged aggression that typically has a one-time occurrence, such as fighting or teasing between friends. Conversely, bullying can lead to suicide. Bully related suicide can be connected to any type of bullying, whether it is physical bullying, emotional bullying, cyber bullying, sexting, or even the circulating of suggestive photos of a person. Sadly, over 14 percent of high school students have considered suicide and almost seven percent have actually attempted it.…

Imagine yourself finding out that one of your friends or a loved one had committed a suicide. How would you feel? Would you be able to handle yourself when you find out that a loved one has done such a horrendous thing? We sometimes don’t think about what other are truly going through. They always say that “The prettiest smiles hide the deepest secrets; the pretties eyes have cried the most tears and the kindest hearts have felt the most pain.” If you think about its pretty accurate people who always have a smile on their face and make it look like they’re okay even if they aren’t, have cried and have gone through the most pain.…

Teens have to deal with making tuff decisions and peer pressure every day. Some don’t share it with others and do something without thinking how their families and friends will feel about it. I read a book called “Tears of a Tiger” in the book the main character is going through a depression after loss of his best friend in a car accident. He was not able to focus in school and commits suicide. People commit suicide because of the loss of loved one, but don’t see how the person who died will think if they were alive. Some people commit suicide because they have been bullied or have an embarrassment. For example there is an article about a student that was bullied online by another student that made a fake account on MySpace and bullied her. The girl that was bullied ended up hanging herself because of just one person that said…

Being someone who ignores the signs and don't try to help is as worse as being a bully that causes the suicides. If you think about it, most victims are bullied for months, showing that they can bare it. However, when they notice no one is going to help and/or stand up for them any time soon, they accept their fate of being bullied the rest of their life and would rather kill themselves. Their last thoughts are probably hatred towards the grownups around them…
