for a short period of time, it is mostly likely used for vacation purposes and this does not allow working, schooling, or applying for permanent status (immigration-law).
Visas are usually taken advantage of, people with visas don’t usually renew them because of being denied.A question that is frequently asked is, why do they immigrate? There are multiple reason that people immigrate to the Unites States. Some are to escape poverty, opportunities for children, reunited with family. There are some cases where they are coming because of illegal activity. Is immigration bad? It is believed that immigrants take away jobs and lower wage pay, but in fact they help. Because of their low English speaking, american workers help them out, thus contracting more employers (Forbes-immigrants). Undocumented immigrants working in a establishment, are usually paid less than they the average hourly pay. In some cases some immigrants are taken advantage of, and because immigrants cannot help themselves they are forced to accept the situation. In October 13, 2009 Jose Padilla was facing deportation. Padilla was a native from honduras, and was an illegal for more than 40 plus years. In his time being in the United States he served the United Stated army in the Vietnam war. He was charged for marijuana charges. He was told because he was their for more a very long time that they would give him residential punishment but that was not the case, his counsel failed to inform him that he would in fact get deported. When he pleaded guilty he was shocked that they made deportation mandatory (Padilla vs Kentucky).
Deportation is important in many ways.

“Everywhere immigrants have enriched and strengthened the fabric of American life” (John F. Kennedy). No one is the same, we all are different. We come from different countries, we have different religions, different cultural backgrounds. We, while we can, need to embrace and take the time to thank people who bring us these. From all around the world people have the dream to live in the United States, why? It’s known to be a free country, and freedom should not be taken away. In conclusion, immigration is a very controversial topic right now, and everyone has their own opinion on immigration. Immigration is how the entire United States was formed. Undocumented immigrants who enter the U.S. come to the U.S. to seek a better life for themselves and their families. Undocumented immigrants are able to apply for a Deferred Action Certificate. This allows immigrants to work in the U.S. legally, apply for college, and even apply for scholarships. Undocumented immigrants who enter the U.S. and are able to obtain legal documentation, they are able to contribute to the U.S. in many different ways. Those undocumented immigrants who go through the legal process to earn a Deferred Action Certificate are able to obtain jobs, pay taxes and contribute to the U.S. economy. Immigration is not going to disappear, it’s a topic that will need to be addressed each year. How the United States deals with immigration is very important for our country.
