Argumentative Essay: The Search For Alien Life
When I was younger my dad and I was at the bus stop waiting for the school bus to arrive, when we looked up in the sky, still kind of dark and this light is just sitting there. It was very bright but also looked like the North Star so we did not pay it much attention when all of a sudden it took off faster than the speed of light. My dad and I just looked at each other and brushed it off. Sometimes we still talk about that morning but we never say anything to anyone because we did not have proof. My heart started pumping real fast id scared us because we have never seen anything like it. In my opinion it seems that we are searching for something that does not want found. We have an area in Nevada called “area 51” that is supposedly a testing site with the United States Air Force, but I believe they store things there that they do not want the public to know. I also believe they already have extraterrestrial life objects there if not one them already there. There is a lot the government does not tell us …show more content…
Here’s the breakdown: Science: $5.237 billion, Exploration: $4.759 billion, Space operations: $3.957 billion, Education: $119 million, other: $3.23 billion (un-telling what this is going to be used for) and the Grand total is $18.5 Billion dollars. I am sorry but that number is just ridiculous. There are way too many other things we could spend 18 billion dollars on. I understand we want to travel around space to see what else is out there and the other planets we could survive off but that is crazy. When we find another planet to live off we are just going to destroy it too! For the aliens apparently they do not want to be found or it would have been simple. What are we going to do when we do find them? Are we going to old them captive until we figure them

Lund 1 Aaron Lund Professor Dorn English 102 15 November XXXX Preserving Yellowstone’s Winter Wilderness Although a few recreational snowmobilers destroy fragile ecosystems and harass animals as they ride through the wilderness, most love and respect this country’s natural heritage. That’s why they brave the cold to explore what is left of wild America— including Yellowstone National Park. Unfortunately, however, even respectful snowmobilers are unwittingly damaging what they love. Because snowmobiles create both air and noise pollution and because their use in the park strains the already lean budget of the park service, recreational snowmobiles should be banned from Yellowstone National Park. In 2002, the Bush administration, under pressure from the snowmobile industry, proposed to reverse the National Park Service’s 2000 plan that would have phased out recreational snowmobile use in Yellowstone. In addition to reversing the earlier plan, the new policy would increase the number of snowmobiles allowed into the park per day. This policy is a step in the wrong direction. It may be hard to imagine that 1,100 snowmobiles a day (the proposed limit) could cause an air pollution problem in a park half the size of Connecticut, but in fact they can. The air pollution at park entrances has already become so bad in winter, according to environmental reporter Julie Cart, that fresh air has to be…

NASA hasn’t made any kind of discovery in recent years that’s been of any kind of use to us. Sure, finding out Pluto doesn’t really count as a planet is cool and all, but how does that help us in anyway?! It doesn’t make a difference if we know how many planets there are right now, what matters is that we use our money to help stop destroying the Earth & try to fix the damage we’ve done. It’s great that we have the technology and skills to travel into space, but it’s becoming unaffordable and we have bigger expenses on our hands.…

I read about the Apollo missions and the obsession with space exploration. Space exploration has been a human fascination since the early 1960s, probably even before then actually. The first person to be put into space was in was Yuir Gagarin at the age of 27, by the Russian Soviet Union. However, it wasn't until 1969 that NASA successfully landed the first man (men) on the moon, with the Apollo 11space mission. Interestingly enough, NASA hasn't attempted go revisit the moon since. Many speculate humans never made it to the moon, and that all of the "evidence" was entirely fabricated.Regardless, ever since then, humans have been fascinated with the idea of trying to reach other planets and possibly inhabit them. Many attempts to find life on…

Krakauer develops a strong defense for McCandless by using McCandless’ family background, relationships he built along the way, Chris’ struggles, and other explorers with similar experiences to protect him from the negative feedback readers developed by reading Chris’s story . The purpose of this novel is to change the reader's negative opinions towards the article because when it was published readers believed that his purpose was to be a rebellious kid and seek attention from others,…

Even if we discontinue the funding of NASA we could still have some control over space in some way by setting laws so the states could have some control over the private companies that would fund themselves. If we keep funding NASA or set some control over the private companies we may be able to make some profit off of the space program and besides, would you rather live in space or on another planet, than stay on earth. And in any way the earth is going to inevitably die anyway so basically the only way to survive is to leave this planet and go to an entirely different solar system and find a faster source of space travel like a “Warp Drive” or a “Black Hole Engine” to…

This frightens many people that we soon will not have room for everyone on the earth. But there is hope! NASA “was able to” keep a man in space for a whole year (What Is NASA, 2009). NASA has been trying its hardest to try and find a new planet for us to live on.…

What is the best solution to a more successful future? This question is in the minds of many students and parents. In my opinion, I think that attending a public school is a better solution than attending a private school. This choice is affected greatly by the overall performance, capabilities of the student and the financial budget of the parent. There are advantages and disadvantages of both private and public schools.…

Is the space race really worth it? In a world embroiled in endless problems, starting from rising food and oil prices, poverty, hunger, illiteracy, high infant mortality rate, terrorism to the threat of global warming and climate change, one may question the significance of the world beyond ours. In a state of global political and social instability, is the space race really worth it? Taking into account the 8 millennium development goals, projected to be achieved by 2030 instead of 2015, and the prosperity the achievement of these goals will bring about, the space race does not seem superficial to it. The importance of human lives is irreplaceable. Thus, striving to locate extra terrestrial life forms is not worth the effort; especially when every 3.6…

The definition of abortion is; “the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus.” The abortion controversy is one of the biggest debates that have been going on for years. Many people feel that aborting an unwanted child should be outlawed. Others consider it as immoral and possibly even murder. I support the right to privacy and the idea women should have the choice to do what she pleases with her own body. As a female, I believe that the government has no right to dictate what happens to a woman’s body. Therefore, everyone should become pro-choice.…

If you continually look to space and wonder what may be lurking behind the stars, you may be a believer. However, even believers can be surprised every now and again. Recent footage published on YouTube highlights an alien giant found in Japan. Could this alien giant be real? Japan has been known for bigger than life experiments. This alien giant, however, may have flown in from space via UFO.…

The place they are going to is known for alien activity. It is clear that Jesse is scared and doesn't want to be there, because he did not sleep for a week after watching the movie, he asked his friends if they were scared, and he said that if it was up to him he wouldn’t have chosen to go on this field trip.…

Are aliens walking among us on earth? Scientists at the University of California hypothesize that this could be possible. They theorize that aliens have lived on earth among humans for quite some time. Camouflaged and acting as observers. Maybe you believe in aliens. Maybe the idea of aliens living on earth is absolutely absurd. In either case, it may not be too unrealistic to imagine. After all, NASA is spending large sums of money to find ancient Martian civilizations. If any evidence supporting an earth inhabited by aliens existed, would the government share it with the public?…
