Can money buy happiness? Money is the most important thing in life. 0Nothing can be yours without money being spent.Everything in the world Some things can be donated and given to individuals that are in complete need and struggling; such as donating a car to a single mom. Being able to buy a nice house or car can also make someone happy. Having the income to care for their children and loved ones, will absolutely make an individual extremely happy. Money can buy happiness. Given to those in need, buying material items, and caring for family are all possible through one main source which is money. Life can be hard at times and not having a car can make it even harder. Especially for a single mother who attends school, work, and have children in school and daycare. Traveling by public transportation may be extremely difficult and time consuming. She cannot afford to purchase a car and someone decides to give her one. Now that she has a car and can save time, made her happy. Even the individual that gave here the car is happy because they made another person happy as well. Buying that huge house with the prettiest backyard and white picket fence. Or buying that expensive fast car, with the shining rims will certainly bring happiness. And again be able to get those items and be all possible by having money. Having the opportunity and the money to send their children to excellent schools. And doing so gives the called the chance to receive a good education to have a good career. Sometimes just being able to spoil their children excites that individual. Helping and caring for family make the family and individual happy as well. As they say “A family that prays together stay together.”

The narrator uses similes, metaphor and imagery to describe Devon. This gives us a much better understanding of the narrator’s memories that he had in Devon school. For example the narrator says “I didn’t entirely like this new glossy new surface, because it made the school look like a museum,(1)”. In this the narrator uses a simile in which he says the glossy surface makes his school appear as a museum. Another example of the narrator using figure of speech to describe Devon is when he says “ It had loomed in my memory as a huge lone spike dominating the river bank forbidding as an artillery piece”(13). In this instance the narrator simile to describe the tree he thought he was looking for by calling it a forbidding piece of artillery.
