Arguments Against Abortion Research Paper

Abortion is a very controversial topic, and it has been for quite some time. Some believe that abortion is completely unethical and should be illegal. However, others think that abortion should be a decision based on what the family believes. In my opinion, abortion should not be illegal. Abortion should be a decision made by the mother and her family, not a congressman who cannot even give birth. If the child is not wanted by the mother, this could raise the possibility of neglect. Some mothers are just not financially ready to have a child, so aborting it is the best option for both the mother and fetus. People who believe that abortion should be legal should be able to have one without any legal consequences. The main argument against abortion is that it causes physical pain to the unborn fetus.
However, abortion and adoption are completely different. One is a quick solution to the problem while the other is a life-time decision. Some women cannot afford to take nine months to complete her pregnancy. Some workplaces are not suited for pregnant women which will cause them to have to take time off. If she is struggling financially, this can be detrimental. She may also be a young women in school. She will have to take time off which can negatively affect her grades. Adoption is also very emotionally stressful. Some women who give children up for adoption feel that they are not worthy of being a mother. Adoption is also a long process that some young women may not be ready to handle. In conclusion, abortion should not be made illegal. It is a decision that should be left between the mother and her family. Those who believe abortion is ethical should always have the option. People should not judge or shame other women for their choices. You never know their circumstances. If they believe abortion is the best option, it should be their right to pursue
