We, as humans don’t look at our fate that way or push ourselves to make our fate go in that direction. I don’t think Aristotle was leaning towards saying that all life is is just a tragedy waiting to happen, although death is the worst thing possible, it is going to happen to all of us, it is going to ruin our loved ones, but life is leading to way more than that. No one will admit it, but we take a lot of things for granted, things that we have been blessed with and given by Someone greater than us that we do not take the time to really appreciate all of them and then we get the idea that life is not really so great and we are just here to die. Aristotle saw Anitgone’s and Ediopus’s stories and saw their tragedies and defined them by it. Even though they were not real, their characters were way more than how their deaths went. Anitgone was a sister, a wife, Ediopus was a father, a brother, and a prince become king. That goes for all of us here in the real world, funerals are a good example because they really make you look more into a lost one’s life than just of what happened to them last. It’s going to happen to us, and no matter who you are or what you do, you are going to be way more than just a tragic hero who died because he was given more than he or she
