As we rounded the corner to enter the elevator. A large painting was on the wall. The painting saturated in color. The hue of red, orange, yellow and blue. It appeared to have two human like figures in it. There was no title and I do not remember the name of the artist. The only thing I remember about it was that it was bright. The vivid hues did bring attention to it but I have no idea of what the message was supposed to be.
Once we reached, the Newcomb exhibit things were a little more subdued. We did have a guide who took us through the pieces of pottery, tapestry, watercolor paintings, and bookplates. Most of these were by Sadie Irvine. One piece we looked at was a watercolor painting of a Cathedral in New Orleans. Sadie used different values of blue hue and shading to give it a depth of field that gave it the look of hazy night. There was a small cross on top of one of the building used as a vanishing
