According to Sun Tzu, one must avoid massacres because this can provoke resistance and possibly allow an enemy to turn the war in his favour. It is important to scrutinize all the information of the competitors including their strengths and weaknesses to be able to construct a well-planned tactics. Entrepreneurs also require quick and appropriate responses to changing conditions. It is said in the book that in order to kill the enemy, men must be roused to anger, that there may be advantage from defeating the enemy, they must have their rewards.
