CO-CURRICULAR MANAGEMENT PRACTICES AMONG NOVICE TEACHERS IN MALAYSIA The journal that I choose was the journal from Asian Journal of Education and e-learning, Vol.02-Issue 02 (April 2014) with the title Co-curricular Management Practices among Novice Teachers in Malaysia. The authors of this journal are Fauzi Hussin, Yahya Don, Mohd Sofian O.F, Yaakob Daud, Arumugam a/l Raman, Ismail H.A. and Muhammadul B.y from Universiti Utara Malaysia and International Islamic University of Malaysia. The aim of this study is to identify the level of knowledge and preparedness among novice teachers in the implementation of co-curricular activities in secondary school in the state of Kedah. According to Gregson (2003) states that prospective teachers and trained teachers should be equipped with knowledge related to extra-curricular activities so that there are capable, in the context of national education, to produce capable individuals. In order to identify the level of knowledge and readiness of novice teacher this study will be based on five research question. in order to obtain data, the researcher have used questionnaire as their instrument. The questionnaire has been distributed to 162 of novice teacher in secondary school throughout the state of Kedah. The result that has been obtained from the study is based on five research question. For the first research question which is the level of knowledge in the implementation of co-curricular activities in schools, the result shows that all the respondent have a high level of knowledge in managing extra-curricular activities. Based on the researcher this is because the novice teacher had just completed their studies. For the second research question which is the significance difference in the level of knowledge and the readiness of teacher toward managing extra-curricular activities based on the six disciplines of academic, the result shows that the novice teacher in humanities field are high level on
