Mr. Berry talks about how no competition would make the economy better and create equality. In the following, I will explain why the following topic No competition is a really bad idea when trying to improve an economy. People do have a sense of envy jealousy and ambition. You can't just make a human being not have these traits, it contradicts human nature. It is not fair that everyone in the economy gets the same paycheck, even though some people may have to work much harder than others. Humans need a sense of achievement to experience happiness, this was proven by countless psychologist and Dr. Anne displays this in her documentary `happiness`. People would lose their motivation as it won't make a difference to anyone if they try hard or not. This could also lead to many accidents. For example, someone who repairs vehicles might not check it twice. It is unnatural, people in very difficult jobs need this sense of achievement to keep trying hard. Otherwise, they may not feel appreciated enough and rebel against their government. So no there would not be " better products" therefore this would also not lead to an "An internally stable economic system." In addition to this Max also talks about how everyone gets to …show more content…
Berry claims that communism makes people more equal. However, I strongly disagree with this. Even though it destroys the system which consists of a lower class, a middle class, and an upper class. It does not do this completely. It only takes away the middle class. As the government puts itself as the only power in charge, therefore everyone else is in the lower class. As Mr.Berry says through the communist system in which apparently " Economic boundaries don’t separate or categorize people, a situation that eliminates crime and violence." This is not true because the system which eliminates the middle class creates a strong difference between the people and the government which opens up a door for hate and aggression. Instead of actually creating " stronger social communities". Mr. Berry talks about the rules communism creates "if the citizens abide by these laws, this leads to a harmonious spirit of sharing with one goal. This consequently builds stronger social communities and an even stronger economy." But it creates even more of a difference by choosing what the society is allowed to believe in. It basically takes away the civil rights which does not lead to a harmonious spirit. For example the two most known communist leaders, Lenin and Marx view religion as something negative, they take away the personality and believes people share and destroy them and dictate what to believe in and what not. They do not only do this with religion but also with political views.
