In the article titled, “Perceived Functions Of Worry Among Generalized Anxiety Disorder Subjects: Distraction From More Emotionally Distressing Topics?” written by Borkovec and Roemer it discussed a study that was conducted on individuals with General Anxiety Disorder and a control group. Although, there were several issues discussed in the article, I will only focus on one. The study described those with General Anxiety Disorder reported a greater incidence of past physical trauma but injury, health, illness were uncommon topics of concern for them.
