Asda Functional Areas
In my work I will state the different functional areas of one big and one small business. The business I have chosen Asda. Asda is a British supermarket retailer, headquartered in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The company was founded in 1965 when the supermarket owning Asquith family merged with the Associated Dairies Company of Yorkshire.
What functional area is ?

Functional Areas is defined as the grouping of activities or processes on the basis of their need in accomplishing one or more tasks.Functional area is a team of employees who have similar skills and expertise. It also allows managers to with similar skills and expertise to review the work done by the members of functions. Part of a business’s growth is the deployment of separate departments

Customer service staff must be helpful, personable and aware of customer’s legal rights. Customer service is important to an organisation because it is often the only contact a customer has with a company. Customer service is also important to an organisation because it can help differentiate a company from its competitors. The company with excellent customer service is more likely to get repeat business from customers. Consequently, the company will benefit with greater sales and profits. Businesses that have a positive experience with a company's customer service department will likely tell two or three others about their experience .Asda provides customer service desk for customers so that they store refunds and their product …show more content…
Finance group are in charge of managing all cash coming into and leaving Waverley Studio Collage.
