AC/DC is a 5 piece hard rock band from Australia formed in 1973 by the two brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Their style commonly referred to blues rock and rock n roll with a quite simple rhythmic structure. The band had several line-up changes, Mark Evans was replaced by Cliff Williams in 1977 and after the tragic death of the lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott in 1980, ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was auditioned and selected to replace Scott. Later that year, the band released the new album, Back in Black, which was made as a tribute to Bon Scott. The album launched them to new heights of success and became their all time best-seller, selling over 10,000 copies a day in its first week. The band's next album, For Those About to Rock We Salute You, was their first album to reach number one in the United States. AC/DC declined in popularity soon after drummer Phil Rudd was fired in 1983 and was replaced by Simon Wright and with Chris Slade in 1989 up till 1994 when Phil Rudd has returned to the band. Since then, the band's line-up has remained the same. As of 2010, AC/DC had sold more than 200 million albums worldwide including 71 million albums in the United States alone. Back in Black has sold an estimated 50 million units worldwide, making it the second-highest-selling album by any artist behind Michael Jackson's Thriller and the highest selling album by any band. Brothers Malcolm, Angus, and George Young were born in Glasgow, Scotland, and moved to Sydney with most of their family in 1963. George was the first to learn to play the guitar. He became a member of the Easybeats, one of Australia's most successful bands of the 1960s. In 1966, they became the first local rock act to have an international hit, with the song "Friday on My Mind".[14] Malcolm followed in George's footsteps by playing with a Newcastle, New South Wales band called the Velvet Underground (not to be confused with the New York-based Velvet Underground).[15] Their oldest brother Alex…
I spoke with my team leader and asked if this would be a good thing to take forward as Ralph has requested it. This was confirmed and she stated that not only would Ralph be learning and achieving but maybe as things develop staff will learn off of Ralph with regards to his opinions on family. My team leader also stated this would be an excellent morale boosting experience as staff will be sitting down with him for long periods, investing their energies and sourcing positive and constructive resources to help support and inspire him.…

This proposal gave hope to undocumented minors in the United States. This hope, however, is being stripped away without taking into consideration the catastrophe it will cause in the lives of many people that call America, home.…

Aspergers Island is a beautiful island covered in sand and tropical trees where the entire population consists of Aspergians (people with Asperger’s syndrome). Ever since the island’s completion, this land has been unknown to the world. The first Aspergians constructed this island using sand dredge and approximately 7 million tons of rock, forming an artificial island. There have been many designs added to the project to ensure that the island functions accordingly. The Aspergians designed this island to leave the cruel world that puts them lower than dirt, and to build up a nation of Aspergians. Today, Aspergers Island is ruled by its profound government. The government divided itself into two groups, one, for the believers of god/supernatural, and two, for people that depend on logic and believe that the idea of god is stupid. And with that, the island was separated into two sections: for the believers and non-believers. This was done to stop any conflicts between the two groups. All Aspergerians must follow the island’s daily policies. For example, one policy is, “do not touch anybody unless they do not mind being touched.” Some Aspergians might like being touched, but the majority do not. Another policy is, “do not play loud noises because some Aspergians are very irritated by loud sound.” These policies ensure equality to all Aspergians. Asperger’s island is a very beautiful and free land, but some Aspergians want to leave because the population has grown so rapidly over its years that the demands for food has increased. The two governments do not allow anybody to leave because they do not want the outside world to know about this island. Aspergers Island remains a secret to the world and within time, Aspergian’s will expand its design to create more plant life.…
Avenged Sevenfold is an American heavy metal band from Huntington Beach, California. The band was formed in 1999. Presently, they consist of Matt Shadows(Vocalist), Johnny Christ(Bassist), Zacky Vengeance(Rhythm Guitarist) and Synyster Gates(Lead guitarist). Matt Sanders(M. Shadows); the lead singer of the band is one of the original founding members. He came up with the band name on being inspired by the fourth chapter in the Book of Genesis. It involves God asking Cain where his brother, Abel was. Cain answered that he didn't know, when in fact, he had killed Abel. "… whoever kills you will suffer seven times the vengeance." (Genesis 4:15, International Standard Version). Jonathan Seward(Johnny Christ) is the fourth bassist, and joined the band while he was still in High School in the year 2003. He is the youngest and shortest in the band. Zack Baker(Zacky Vengeance) is the band’s left-handed rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist. Zacky was a self-taught guitarist and would play his dad’s right-handed guitar upside-down by watching his favourite bands play and other people he knew that played, and practised as much as he could. Brian Haner Jr.(Synyster Gates) plays the lead guitar, and does backup vocals for the band. His father is Brian Haner. He also plays in some Avenged Sevenfold tracks. He mostly plays acoustic guitar solos that duel back and forth with Synyster's electric guitar and also helped his son write "So Far Away", a track on the band’s latest album that Brian had finished writing in memory of his late best friend and band-mate, Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan. The Rev was known to the world as one of the greatest drummers of all time. He passed away on 28th December 2009, due to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Avenged Sevenfold kicked off with a metalcore sound on their first album ‘Sounding the Seventh Trumpet’, which included a lot of screaming vocals and heavy-metal guitar riffs. They then changed their style…
I was blessed with a parent who gave me the freedom of listening to any kind of music I liked. The genre of music I listened to the most was rock music. There was always a diverse sound to the music. When I reached my teen years, I found a music that had a strong sound to it; I connected with it. That sound came from heavy metal music. Heavy metal has changed and opened up many new styles or sub-genres since it came out in the late 60’s and into the 70’s. It started out in the 80’s with glam or thrash metal, then into the 90’s with alternative or nu metal, and now in the 2000’s, death or black metal was brought in.…
Born in 1977, Mohammed Salem was destined for musical greatness. Since his early childhood, his love for music and dance was undeniable. At age 12 he made his first appearance as a professional actor in the theatrical production French Blue. He soon followed with more theatrical roles before finally succumbing to the love of songwriting and music. In 2001 Mohammed launched himself into singing and songwriting releasing a religous album entitled The Greatest Gift. The accapella set was an album he put together to raise awareness amongst his own community and the album became the biggest selling religous set that year. However, in 2003 Mohammed stepped out of the shadows and into his own by deliberating an album with energy and confrontation. Songwriters from Australia and around the world were the driving force behind Mohammed’s debut album mojo. The debut single Nasty peaked at No.3 on the International Pop Charts, although not immune from the nasty feedback by critics. The song was soon followed by the release of his second single Say you’ll make love with me again which peaked at No.9 and written by Chris Headford and Lisa Butler. Critics had a field day with the song claiming it was like revisiting the 80s, and not the better part of it. By April 2004, Mohammed released the third single Can you handle this. Whilst a hit on the charts and in the clubs, it was a song that was overshadowed with controversy. The song was a very sexual song about acceptance, it’s indirect dealings with homophobia and dabbling in a same sex rendezvous. Community and religous leaders stepped out protesting to the song which saw a good boy (of once religous songs/background) become so sexual (and in their eyes ... very bad). The news hit headlines and soon enough it overshadowed the album itself. Mohammed’s record label “Salem Music International” went into damage control by releasing the fourth single Have you ever; a remake of Brandy’s #1 hit. Moderately doing well on…
In the morning I was walking with my dog, when suddenly I noticed an old man sitting on the street while people were walking on the road ignoring him. The weather seemed a bit chillier this morning and his skin was rugged and looked tough. His outfit looked dirty, especially on the jacket. I looked at that old man, but he didn’t look at me. I was thinking, why was he sitting on the street in the morning? “Why do you sit on the road?” I asked the man, He replied to me, “this is my place”. I was shocked. I thought he may be homeless, but I’ve found that living with the homeless is not so bad as long as we understand them. Most people ignore homeless, but I don’t why. He looked hungry and I asked him “Are you hungry? “He said “YES” so I went to Country Fair to get him some pizza and a drink. I gave it to him, and he told me, “I don’t how to say thank you” I felt so bad for him. I gave him a few dollars, and I told him that…
