ASOS – “As Seen On Screen”

ASOS is the largest UK online fashion and beauty store that provides high street and high-end fashions all in one website. It was launched in 2000 by
Nick Robertson and Quentin Griffiths. The main purpose of that online store is to dress its clients with garments directly inspired from celebrities’ styles.
Today, it offers many independent and designer labels such as Motel or
Diesel.

ASOS is one of the leading fashion and beauty store for both men and women in UK. It specializes in selling affordable versions of outfits worn by celebrities. ASOS was launched in June 2000 by Nick Robertson and was voted as “Best Trendsetter” by Sunday Times in December 2000. Besides this it has also won numerous awards including Retail Week Online Retailer of the
Year 2007 & 2008, Cosmopolitan Retailer of the Year 2008 and In Style Best
Online Shop of the Year 2008 to name a few.

The group primarily aim at 18-34 year old men and women and the website offers more than 50.000 branded and own label products lines across jewellery, womenswear, menswear, footwear, accessories or beauty. Today, it can count more than 13, 6 millions of visitors each month.

• 2010: ASOS launches “ASOS Marketplace” and the online store opens in France, Germany and USA
• 2011: ASOS launches “ASOS Facebook Shop”, “ASOS
Fashion Finder”, an app for iPhone and iPad and the online store opens in Spain, Italy and Australia
