The director helps us understand why Molly is significant character by showing how caring and unselfish she was in the film. The director helps us understand that Molly is unselfish and caring in the scene where Molly picks up and carries her younger sister Daisy. shot being used in this scene showed us how vulnerable and weak Daisy has become. The lack of weakness showed us that in order to get what you want you need to stay strong and keep striving.

This scene shows leadership skills because she is acting like a mother by providing food, warmth and love. The film technique used in this scene was an ‘Over the shoulder shot’. Throughout the film, we see Molly helping her younger sister Daisy, and later on in the film we Molly once again helping her younger sister Daisy but this time with the company of her cousin Gracie.
