Assignment 1:
Q1-What is the capital connection for global business news between Asia, Euro and USA. You can describe them in term of TV series in Asia, Europe and USA and time of those financial markets open?
A1: Capital Connection is a television business news program aired every weekday on various CNBC channels around the world. Broadcast live simultaneously from both Asia and in Europe, with Chloe Cho and Carolin Roth. Capital Connection helps the global business viewer understand the impact that news in one region is having on financial capitals around the globe. It's the bridge between the Asian markets and a preview to the European trading day.
Originally, this leg of the show was only featured from Monday to Thursday, but was later featured every weekday from February 2011 to November 2011, when the Bahrain leg was discontinued altogether. As a result, Capital Connection reverted to two continents (Asia and Europe).
The program debuted on 2007-03-26 as a result of significant schedule changes at both networks. Billed as "the bridge between Asia and Europe", the show airs from noon to 1pm Hong Kong/Singapore/Taiwan Time (1pm to 2pm when Europe is not on Daylight Saving Time) on CNBC Asia (roughly the midpoint of the Asian trading day) and from 6am to 7am CET on CNBC Europe. The broadcast also airs on the CNBC World channel in the United States weekdays from midnight to 1am ET.
The show features a round-up of the top Asian business stories thus far and a look ahead to the corporate and economic news expected in Europe. CNBC reporters in both continents also contribute to the show. This format is very similar to the one used on Worldwide Exchange.
Correspondents from Asia usually appear on the first half of the show while those from Europe come in on the second half of the show.
The main trading markets in Asia are the Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong markets. Tokyo opens
