Assignment 1: Course Analysis
1. Describe the specific goal you set for this course at the beginning of the semester and include information and strategies you have discovered to support your goal. For this course, I had told myself I was going to read all of the chapters. Go through all of the power points and really understand them. Another goal I had set was to keep an A throughout the semester. Also, I told myself I was not going to procrastinate. I procrastinate a lot and this semester I didn’t want to procrastinate, I wanted to try something new and try and get all of my assignments done before the weekend. While going through the course, I have taught myself to read the chapters like if it was a book. When I read chapters, it usually doesn’t stay in my brain, but when I pretend it’s a book and it has a story, I remember more things. Taking the quizzes a day or two later helped me not to procrastinate. Another thing that …show more content…
Describe connections you have made between your prior knowledge and what you have learned in this course. How has this course helped you to understand the ideas in new or different ways? How has your pursuit of your specific goal helped in this course and/or other courses? One of my goals I had set myself in the beginning as helped me to keep striving. I did not do so well on the midterm so I am working to pass my final with a good grade. Therefore, throughout this course I have had determination with passing this course with a good grade. I have learned situations I have never heard of before. For example, the bathroom bill left me speechless. I had never heard of this situation before until it was brought up into the course. Going more into details and hearing other people’s opinions, it was very interesting. This course has helped me to understand that a lot of things are going on in this world that we are not familiar with. It has helped me to understand that it is very important to know what is going on in the government and to watch the news

By only allowing applications to use the Indeo codec when the media content is from the local system or from the intranet zone, and by preventing Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player from launching the codec at all, this update removes the most common remote attack vectors but still allows games or other applications that leverage the codec…

On April 17, 2011 PlayStation Network (PSN) was breached by an unauthorized source. Sony believed that the source exposed personal and password information – and possibly credit cards – of an estimated 77 million people. The most critical laws that Sony “allegedly” broke were California SB 1386, California Law 1798.81.5, and California Law 1798.29.…

For my networking assignment, I decided to pick the restaurant and retail industries out of the three industries I had in mind. I have always been curious about working in both industries and the management of it. In this assignment, I interviewed seven different people that were found through personal connections. I got to interview four restaurant owners, a market owner and a general manager, and an owner of two gift shops. By doing these interviews, I learned how to write and adjust my questions based on each interviewee. Each interview was from thirty minutes to an hour long. I learned a lot from the restaurant owners and retailers, and I also got to try some deliciously food. I was nervous before conducting each of my interviews, but it…

When I have homework I feel pretty normal because we almost always have homework. Sometimes we have a ton of homework in other subjects and then we have math homework. On these nights I feel like I don't have enough time to do it because I have other after school activities that might take away three hours at most on some nights. Even though I have a lot of homework some nights I finish it but I'm usually up really late so the next day I’m really tired. This makes me not pay as much attention in some classes that I would normally pay a lot of attention in. It’s not so much the written homework that gets me so much. It’s the test that we have crammed in every week. So, in summary, the homework isn't usually to bad but when it gets staked up…
