Finally, a psychiatrist with a patient with the identicle symptoms of depression would consider utlizing a treatment like antidepressant drugs.
Clinical psychologist are trained and utilize different types of treatments or therapies to provide assistance in treating a disorder (The British Psychological Society, 2013). Furthermore, Therapist or counsellors can solely provide one type of treatment or therapy like psychotherapy to assist their patients in treating their disorder. Finally, therapist and counsellors are not regulated professions and can volunteer to register with one of the major professional associations.
School psychologists are usually graduates of a master 's program and focus their profession to school setting or private practice assisting students and their families (The British Psychological Society, 2013). Furthemrore, similar to school psycholgists, social workers also acquire a master 's degree and provide survices to schools, hospitals, clinics, and private practice as they focus mainly on individual case studies. In addition, social workers have less training in areas such as biological components, influence on behavior, and research. Finally, other mental health professions inlcude counseling, occupational therapists, school psychologists, social workers, and psychiatric
