Outcome 1
1. The aspects covered by law are minium wage, to make sure you are not discriminated, health and safety, training, working hours and dismissal procedures.
2. The equality act 2010 is in place to protect people from discrimination in the workplace it replaced anti-discrimination laws.
2b. Employment act 2008 is in place to resolve employment disputes or to provide compensation for finacial loss in unlawful underpayment and it enforces minium wage
2c. Health and safety act 1974 is in place to make the workplace fit to work in weather this be using hazadous chemicals reducing the risk against health and safety.
3. legislation exsits because itprotects against discrimination in the work place it is also important to make sure employees get the correct and fair pay and to make sure employees are treated fairly.
4. These sources could be trade unions so you know where you stand if you need advice, citizens advice, ucas or maybe even websites such as direct.gov, the area manager or in your policys and procedures information.
Outcome 2
1. these could be the hours i am required to work weather it be full or part time employment, how much notice you have to give before leaving, what your job role or title is i.e. care assistant, cleaner or maintenance, what to do if you want to raise a grievance.
2. on my payslip it says my name, pay date, tax code, national insurance number, gross pay, total pay, net pay, the company who you work for, tax paid.
3. The grievance procedure is designed to make staff able to raise a grievance , grievances will be delt with in diffrent stages informal and formal the first stage is to write your grievance down with as much information as possible step 2 is a meeting between the employee and the manager. the employee would be informed of the outcome within 5 days but maybe sooner if the grievance is urgent or may take longer if the grievance is complicated.
