#1 Ethical Dilemma:
Mary, a defense attoney, is contracted by her childhood friend for 10 years Elizabeth. Elizabeth is being charged with first degree murder of her ex-husband Mark. Mark's family is assured that Elizabeth is guilty of mudering Mark after she caught him cheating with his co-worker Martha. Elizabeth is now the the number one suspect in the homocide because of circumstancial evidence, including the testimony of Martha who witnessed Elizabeth threaten Mark about killing him. In a private meeting to discuss the plans Elizabeth confesses to her long time childhood in sobbing tears that she murdered Mark in the heat of passion after a confrontation. She then pleads that Mary keeps quite. Mary does not want to betray Elizabeth, but

I would keep writen down notes of the situation encountered and the reactions from my co-worker. Since, I am unware of how far the corruption is within the chain of command in the company I would contact the Equal Employment Oppotunity Council. The Equal Opportunity Council is a center to which employees report cases against discrimination in this case: sexual harrastment. Although, the employeer may argue that I was not a victim of sexual harrastment I will argue that I felt exposed to sexual harrasment. The statement that Maria made that "all interns are aware...so get on board" is reassuring that most interns have been victims of sexual harrastment. I would not keep quiet because this is illegal. Keeping quiet about a hostile situation will give control and power to this individual that using the interns like puppets. I will not let fear control my life. To avoid my supervisor, Liam, from ruining my carreer by providing false information for vengence I would write down the dates the confrontation occured and the acts afterward to avoid the compnay from retaliating once I report the discrimination. If the company decides to let me go because I stood up against sexual harrastment I would contact a lawyer and sue them for rataliation. Retaliation means that I made a complaint based on a discrimination to the company and they let me go in a reasonable time of that complaint. I will contact past interns that have undergone the same situation for testimony in the
