Asthma Prevention in Pediatrics
In a quantitative research study by Glasgow et al. (2012), a randomized control trial found that there was no difference in respiratory symptoms in children with moderate to severe asthma when given a mite-occlusive mattress cover.

A meta-analysis was conducted to determine the effects of smoking by parents or other members within a household on the risk of asthma in children (Burke et al., 2012).
A systematic review analyzed the use of inhaled corticosteroids, long- or short-acting β2-adrenoceptor agonists, parasympatholytics, and oral leukotriene receptor antagonists in asthmatic children when induced by exercise (Grzelewski and Stelmach, 2009).
