School of Out-of-Body Travel
A Practical Guidebook
First Edition www.obe4u.com Translated by

The practice of phase states of the mind is the hottest and most promising pursuit of the modern age. Unlike in the past, the notions of “out-of-body experience”, “near-death meditation”, “lucid dreaming” and “astral projection” have already lost their mystical halo, and their real basis has been studied in minute detail from the most non-nonsense approach. Now, this phenomenon is accessible to everyone, regardless of their worldview. It is now known how to easily master it and apply it effectively. This textbook gives each and every person something that previously could only be dreamt about a parallel reality and the possibility of existing in two worlds. This book is for pragmatic people who are not used to taking anything on faith or reading about empty theories. The book only deals with what works in practice, and nothing else.

Amy Miller, in The Church of the Rowing Machine, demonstrates how human’s imagination enlarges one’s perception of a dream. As long as a dream guides a human being through the life, as long as this dream prevails and one believes that “[one’s] crewmates…are illusion and distance is illusion” that cannot stop him on his way, this human being will come close to catching or even will catch the dream (Miller 45). The reality of a dream does not truly matter since its driving force is the only thing that counts and leads a human being to the new…

Throughout history, humans have strived to understand the mystery and meaning of dreams. The interpretations of dreams widely vary throughout different cultures, however the majority of early societies viewed dreams as spiritual visions, forms of guidance, and sources of inspiration. Humankind’s fascination with dreams has led many scientists to develop theories on why they occur, however no theory has been proven thus far, therefore the exact science as to why they take place continues to be a mystery.…

We lay silently in our bed. We look at the blank white walls, the sleeping bodies, and the darkness. Everywhere. We wonder if this is all there is to life or what is being hidden. Certainly there must be something out there different from here, but we are forbidden to think of such things. Every night we close our eyes and we dream of places far away, places where we are happy always, and of places not so dark. We are forbidden to dream of such things.…

Though I’d love to claim I entered Andover’s gym my freshman year as a chiseled, knowledgeable veteran weight-lifter, that would be false. A more truthful storyline would tell the story of a young Ajay eagerly walking into the gym but sadly ending up whispering “help” with a 95- pound barbell on his neck. The whispers, though soft, were somehow enough to garner the attention of the entire football team who just happened to be engaging in their first team work out of the fall. Needless to say, I considered walking out of the gym at that moment and permanently relinquishing my quest for a Schwarzenegger-like body. My embarrassment did not stem from the fact that I could not lift the weight, but that others had seen my failure.…

W.E.B. Du Boise first coined the term “double-consciousness” in the early 1900s. “It is a peculiar sensation, this double-consciousness, this sense of always looking at one’s self through the eyes of others, of measuring one’s soul by the tape of a world that looks on in amused contempt and pity.” (Du Bois, “The Souls of Black Folk”) Du Bois also believes that African-Americans are “born with a veil, and gifted with second-sight in this American world.”…

The event that really shaped my life is the reading of the book “The space of variation” by a quantum physicist Vladim Zeland. The author talks about what he calls “Transurfing”: a theory in which we are actually shaping and forming our everyday life. The process of “creation” is the thread unrolling throughout the triology. In his books about Transurfing he describes Lucid Dreaming; my mind was blown out. Lucid Dreaming is being aware of being in a dream while one is asleep. In this “parallel sleeping reality” the subject is left alone with his mind, and he has the possibility to control and modify the dream matrix in whatever way the he wants.…
