HOME CARE
• Take medicines only as told by your doctor.
• Ask your doctor about using over-the -counter:
○ Creams.
○ Lubricants.
○ Moisturizers.
• Do not douche.
• Do not use any herbal or alternative medicines unless your doctor says it is okay.
• Do not use products that can dry out your vagina, such as scented:
○ Feminine sprays.
○ Tampons.
○ Soaps.
• Talk to your sexual partner if it hurts to have sex.
• Do not feel embarrassed
or ashamed. This happens to many women.
• Tell your doctor if you have had:
○ Cancer.
○ Liver problems.
○ Blood clots.
GET HELP IF:
• Your vaginal fluid (discharge) looks different than normal.
• Your vagina has a bad smell.
• You have new symptoms.
• Your symptoms get worse.
• Your symptoms do not improve with treatment.
