Whenever I look out of the window and see the woods I would always recall the horrendous night.
It was a beautiful evening, with the eastern wind blowing, perfect for a camping trip. I decided to call up a few of my good friends to come along with me for a short camping trip in the nearby Garapas Woods.
One hour later, we met at the start of the hiking trail through the woods. Everybody had their equipment packed and was all ready to go. As we walked along the snake like dirt path, there were signs posted all around warning us about bears and what to do if we met one. As we hiked further down, trees as tall as giants towering above the clouds surrounded us. With a last ditch effort we found an excellent spot to settle and gathered firewood ready for the fun night ahead. We sat there for hours embracing the stunning utopia in which surrounded us and giggling about memories and toasting marshmallows, but it was too good too last.
No sooner had we opened up the last packet of marshmallows we unexpectedly heard a loud ruffling noise that startled us, unsure, unnerved and petrified we clambered inside the tent and hid. We sat silently, tension and fear building inside as we hoped whatever animal it was would leave us alone.
I peered through a hole in the tent and watched, it was a ferocious bear!
