You will benefit most from attending the graded Seminar as an active participant. However, if you are unable to attend you have the opportunity to make up the points by completing the alternative assignment.
In this week's Seminar, your instructor will provide the class with an overview of the course, discuss the objectives of this course, and review available university resources and support services.
Option 1: Attend live Seminar.
Instructions for accessing Seminars are found on the Course Home menu under Seminar Information and under the Additional Help icon.
Option 2: Complete Alternative Assignment:
Respond to the topics below. Your response to the topics should be composed in complete sentences and paragraphs and be approximately 100–150 words in length in content, excluding repeating the questions verbatim, your title page, and reference page. Submit your responses as a Microsoft Word document to the Dropbox by the end of the day on Tuesday.
Spend some time exploring your KUPortal Page and listen to the Unit 1 Seminar archive when it becomes available (one day after your scheduled Seminar).

What should you do if you have technical difficulties including not being able to upload a document, access Seminar, or log into your class? When having technical difficulties, one should contact the Technical department as soon as possible to report the issue. While speaking with a technician ask for a ticket number to give to the instructor.
Where can the Assignment calendar and late policy be found for this course? When one needs to know when an assignment is due they would locate the Assignment calendar printed in the class syllabus.

Submitting Your Work
Put your responses in a Word document. Save it in a location and with the proper naming convention: username-Course Name-section- Unit x_Seminar.doc (username is your Kaplan username, section is your course section). When you are ready to submit it, go to the Dropbox and complete the steps below:
1. Click the link that says "Submit an Assignment."
2. In the "Submit to Basket" menu, select Unit 1: Seminar.
3. In the "Comments" field, make sure to add at least the title of your paper.
4. Click the "Add Attachments" button.
5. Follow the steps listed to attach your Word document.
To view your graded work, come back to the Dropbox or go to the Gradebook after your instructor has evaluated it. Make sure that you save a copy of your submitted project.
