I. Attention Getter Have you never felt a sudden rush of panic when you saw something scary pop out of nowhere in a Horror movie? Have you never squirmed in you seat at the theatre or even in your living room chair because you saw something that was unsettling on the screen?
II. Need Step Of course you have. All of us have. Every one of us has been afraid or startled by something or someone in the Horror movie medium. But, why? However, the "Man Of 1,000 Faces" influence was, and still is, far from being silenced. His innovative use of makeup and effects have inspired generations of special effects artists responsible for dozens, if not hundreds, of creations in cinema. IV: Bela Lugosi I: Born in 1882, Bela Lugosi was the youngest of four children. At the age of 12, he had dropped out of school, and not much is known publicly about him until around the beginning of the 1900's. Bela starred in numerous stage plays, many of those Shakespearrean, between 1903 and 1919. However, he had served in the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1914-1916, had risen to the rank of captain in the Ski Patrol, and had recieved a medal for being wounded in the field. After the war, he resumed work as a stage actor, as well as starring in several Hungarian and German films. His most famous role, of both stage and screen didn't come until 1927.
