Atticus Finch: An Admirable Father
Atticus Finch, respected man, lawyer, and also the loving father of 2 children. Atticus is one of the most respected men and lawyers in Maycomb, he is widely known for defending Tom Robinson in the case of the rape of Mayella Ewell. He and his children often received ridicule for this, because he was a white man defending a black man convicted of an unexcusable crime. Even Atticus’s family resented him for taking the case, believing he was disgracing their name. Although he's most popular for his job of defending Tom Robinson, his most important job is being a father. So, while Atticus may have made some mistakes as a parent, overall he’s an admirable father.

In a tough time like the 1930’s Great Depression, parents had more problems to deal
