There are many opinions on what a good teacher is; some argue that knowledge is the key. In my personal opinion, a teacher’s personality is as important as the education given by such teacher. A teacher who has the knowledge to teach is unable to do so if charisma is not one of their attributes. A good student looks for charisma and special attention in a teacher’s curriculum. But when a teacher has charisma but lacks enthusiasm the students might get bored of the class. An enthusiastic teacher with passion for the subject that is being taught will promote interest in the students for such subject. Teachers are nowadays, not only a children’s instructor but are also responsible for their future. A reliable teacher is what parents look for nowadays, a teacher who is able to take care of their children with no harm and to teach them to be professionals in life. Also a good teacher, is that teacher who is able to find an individual approach with each student; it is very important to find and instruct abilities in every child. A teacher who is not involved in a student’s life does not deserve to be a teacher. As a teacher, you become part of a huge family that comes and go and from each person that comes to that family you learn a new lesson or you teach one.

“Good teaching is a skillful blend of artistic and scientific elements. Teaching as an art involves beliefs, emotions, values and flexibility, while teaching as a science utilizes instructional practices that are proven by research to improve student achievement” (Snowman and Biehler, 2006). According to (Peters, R.) teaching can involve formal methods of instruction as well as informal ways of organizing things so that children will be led to discover things for themselves.
