Being part of an audiology team requires the skill of teamwork which is vital when working with other healthcare professionals such as doctors and surgeons. An example of this would a cochlear implant. I strongly believe that I have achieved this skill . Biology is a subject which is necessary in the course of audiology as it is subject which entails the anatomy of the ear and the basics of how the ear works. It interests me to learn new aspects in biology and research further into topics.
Furthermore, I had gained further understanding of audiology as a profession through my work experience in a hospital internationally. It had helped me to understand the responsibilities a audiologist has and how they fulfil it for different patients. Audiologists make use of technology through hearing aids; hearing aids are an essential part of many people's lives and handling such technology is a skill to experience. Particularly, throughout this experience I was in contact with different age groups, starting from new-born babies to senior citizens.
