Biography Life of Audre Lorde (Final Writing Assignment)
The poem writer, Audre Geraldine Lorde was born on February 18, 1934, in New York City. She was one of the leading African-American poet who her voice gave support with regards to racism, gender and sexuality. Her love for poetry writing started from her young age as a teenager. She also attended school at the Hunter College, she worked very hard in other to support herself throughout her school years to support. And later on, after she graduated from college in 1959, she went further in the pursuit of her master’s degree for Library science from Columbia University in 1961.

In her third volume of writing, she went deeply to explore various issues as well as concerns of the global world. Whereas, the other work of hers, was basically on ‘’New York Head Shop and Museum (1976),’’which sounded more political thab her previous poem collections.
Therefore, the publication of Coal in 1976 was by a major book company, after which ‘’the black unicorn (1978) foolowed suit, she later began to expand her writing by addressing large audience. In the volume of ‘’the black unicorn’’, the poet went deep to explore the African heritage. Her writing was very much considered as one of the great works in the critic word of literature. Therefore, Lorde’s writing and poetry gave her the motivation to brain storm what was considered as very important to her a woman of color by tackling it. She’s a lesbian, mother and a
