Auschwitz Birkenau During The Holocaust

Not like your ordinary summer camp you did not smell the campfires and marshmallows, you smelt the sweaty bodies not being able to bathe appropriately. Filled with gas chambers Auschwitz was reeking of the burning flesh. Known for the death of over 1.1 million jews, Auschwitz Birkenau was the largest concentration camp / death camp during the holocaust. Auschwitz Birkenau, the largest death camp of them all. Over 1.1 million jewish people died along with the homosexuals, gypsies, and polish. They called the camp a concentration camp, death camp, and an extermination camp. You didn’t want to go to any camp, but especially not Auschwitz, Birkenau. The way that people died in Auschwitz is absolutely disturbing. The hard work and labor was no
help to their unsanitized “bathrooms” and “bedrooms”. They might of passed away because they were sick, and the “hospital” couldn’t do anything. The SS officers were not nice to say the least. They would beat you for no apparent reason. You might not be doing anything and they are sure you're doing something wrong. The major way of people dying was the gas chamber. You did not know you were going into the gas chamber. They told you, you were being cleaned and then they made you take your clothes
