Aid funds are used to train people in health so that they can set up hospitals and don’t have to rely on Aid from Australia. The aid funds are also used to set up hospitals and health clinics in developing countries. The result of using aid funds to train teachers and set up school is that there has been a great increase in the amount of children attending school, setting up a good future for themselves and their country. Once these children have this knowledge they can pass it on to their children when they grow up or they can get a job and feed themselves, this results in a decrease in poverty. AID/WATCH claims that Australia is selling good up 25% more than if they bought these products from local sources. Another concern is that the Aid money is going to wealthy people as a result of corruption and the people in need are not the ones receiving the help.
