CONCLUSION After conducting the experiment, we arrive at a conclusion that: I. Open circuit tests and short circuit tests are tests that are performed on a transformer to determine, equivalent circuit of transformer, voltage regulation of transformer, efficiency of transformer. II. The power required for these Open Circuit test and Short Circuit test on transformer is equal to the power loss occurring in the transformer. III. In additon,the open circuit test on transformer is used to determine core losses in transformer the Short Circuit test on transformer is used to determine copper loss in transformer. IV. The advantage of this method is that without much power loss the tests can be performed and results can be obtained. V. Short Circuit is performed on the high voltage side because the rated current on hv side is much less than lv side. So the rated hv side current
